Due to an upcoming retirement the City is currently recruiting for a Director of Community Services to join our team.

Reporting to the CAO, the Director is a member of the Corporate Leadership Team for the City. The Director provides direct organizational leadership and service design to managers within the areas of; Recreation, Arts and Culture, Community Economic Development, Parks and Facilities, Lacombe Memorial Centre.
This position provides management of funding agreements outlining grants provided to a number of organizations in our City, including the Mary C Moore Library, Lacombe Historical Society, Lacombe & District Family and Community Support Services and others.
Ideally to fill this role you will be a proven leader and possess a Bachelor Degree in Business, Administration, Recreation supported by 5 - 7 years of experience in senior level management, ideally concentrated in at least one of the key areas of responsibility.
As our preferred candidate your list of experiences and skills include:
- Strong administrative skills, and proven skills in verbal and written communications;
- Highly hone leadership, team building and relationship building skills;
- Working knowledge of land use and planning documents as it relates to recreation and green space development;
- Conflict resolution skills;
- Capital and Operating Budget development and management experience for significant portfolios;
- Skilled in public facilitation, community engagement and presenting to a variety of audiences.
