The City of Kelowna’s Infrastructure Delivery Department manages all capital projects that the City carries out from the pre-design phase through to the completion of construction. These projects include all City infrastructures such as roads, bridges, buildings, parks, water, wastewater, drainage, traffic signal systems & shallow utilities.
 
We are seeking flexible team-players with experience and training installing, upgrading and maintaining water, sanitary, drainage and shallow utility systems, including associated road restoration and construction.  Flexibility is essential to work various hours, including overtime and weekends when necessary. 
 
Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Pipelayer *
  • Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License
  • Highschool Diploma
  • Willingness to complete funded training including EOCP – Wastewater Collection Level I and Water Distribution Level I Certifications
 
This is a CUPE bargaining unit position and offers an hourly rate of $28.49 per hour, along with a competitive pension and benefits package.This role works extensive overtime throughout the year and receives overtime premiums.
 
* Please note that those applicants that are not fully qualified as a Pipelayer may be considered for a training opportunity.
