A little bit about us…
The City Lands team, in the Strategic Initiatives Department, is responsible for several hundred acres of developable greenfield land, of which the majority is located on Burke Mountain. Our short-to-medium term land portfolio is primed for development, and includes a 39-acre, mixed-use, Neighbourhood Village. As the master land developer, our objectives are to subdivide, rezone, and service the City-owned lands for disposition. These lands are strategically sized and include a comprehensive set of design guidelines to ensure the overall community is designed and development in a cohesive manner that supports our overarching vision.

What we are looking for…
To support the development of these lands, we are looking for a creative, detail-focused mapping and graphic design guru with a focus and passion for real estate and development. Reporting to the Manager Land Development, the successful applicant will help the Lands team plan and implement development objectives through mapping, graphic design, marketing and a variety of municipal requirements. If you grew up playing Sim City or crafting your dream home in Google Sketch-up, and enjoy looking at acres of forested land planning and designing your next big project – you’ve come to the right place!

A little bit about you…
You’ve worked in professional teams under tight deadlines researching, assembling and analyzing information and are able to skillfully balance and prioritize competing demands. Analyzing data and making great visual presentation materials comes easily to you. You are the creative type that loves to work outside the box and require minimal supervision, possess a can-do attitude and are able to tackle challenges with competency.
If you are passionate about real estate development, architecture, mapping and graphic design, we would like you to bring your passion to support our team develop great communities.
Your thorough knowledge of GIS software, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite and other mapping and design applications is ideally demonstrated by having a degree or diploma is GIS, graphic design, and/or equivalent, plus three or more years of experience work on real estate projects. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Bonus points for website design and having experience in real estate property marketing.
Applicants under consideration must possess a valid Driver’s License. The City of Coquitlam is offering an hourly rate of $32.94 - $38.78.
