Fleet Services Technician (Mechanic)

(Term Position - up to 6 months)

The City of Campbell River is seeking a full-time term Fleet Services Technician.

As part of the Fleet and Facilities team and reporting to the Fleet and Facilities Manager, you will perform a variety of skilled tasks involved in preventive maintenance and repair of the City’s fleet of vehicles and  equipment.

To complement your ITA Certification as Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic, Commercial Transport Vehicle Mechanic or Automotive Service Technician or equivalent, you WILL also have:

  • A valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Air Endorsement with a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Minimum five (5) years recent and related experience as a journeyman mechanic
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferably in construction and mechanical equipment.

The current hourly rate of pay for this CUPE bargaining unit position is $34.77 working 40 hours per week.
