Are you looking for a part-time position with great opportunities for personal and professional growth as part of a tight-knit team on the frontlines of civilian police work? Can you operate, support and maintain digital  recording and communications systems; troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve problems; retrieve and archive digital media; and manage the lifecycle of related hardware and software? Can you do all that in 21 hours  per week?

If you answered yes to all three questions, you may be just the person we are looking for!

Stellar applicants should have the following:
  • Considerable knowledge of methods and practices related to the operation and maintenance of digital and communications hardware and related software.
  • Considerable knowledge of communications and local area networks.
  • Sound knowledge of departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to operate, maintain and support digital recording and communications equipment and software and to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
  • Ability to ensure the lifecycle management and the installation of new or updated hardware and software.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain records and organize and catalogue archived materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Minimum high school graduation supplemented by a one-year certificate in information technology, multimedia systems or a related discipline, plus sound related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Poised and tactful in stressful situations, you possess sound judgment as well as excellent listening, communication, decision-making and customer service skills. Must obtain and maintain an Enhanced RCMP  Security Clearance.

In addition to a CUPE hourly rate of $31.62 to $37.23 and a competitive benefits package, you can anticipate a lively, fast-paced environment plus opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Anticipated hours of work are 10 AM to 2 PM Monday to Friday
