The County of Lambton is an urban-rural area in southwestern Ontario that is home to over 126,000 residents. Position Overview
To undertake various projects in the Roads and Waste Management departments and assist other Public Works staff to ensure that projects undertaken are performed effectively and efficiently to the County’s requirements. Duties to be performed at various County facilities including within County owned road allowances, County landfills, Works depots, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide traffic control for various roadway maintenance, rehabilitation, and capital improvement projects 
• Perform general labour as required: grass cutting, brushing, sign post installation, cold patching, sweeping, etc. 
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
As this is an entry level position, many of the skills will be developed during the work term. However a working knowledge of the following tools would prove valuable; Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

Summer Student positions with the County of Lambton may be dependent on funding and funding criteria:
• Between 15 and 30 years of age
• Registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year
