Parks Equipment Operator Specialist II


The City of Campbell River is seeking a full-time Parks Equipment Operator Specialist II.

As part of the Parks team and reporting to the Parks Operations Supervisor and working directly under the supervision of the Green Space Coordinator, the Parks Foreman II or the Parks Operations Supervisor, you  will perform a variety of tasks assigned in the day-to-day preparation and maintenance of sports fields, parks, cemetery, and green spaces throughout the City of Campbell River.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Heavy Equipment Operator Certification on a “Rotary Mower” (Level ‘A’)
  • Heavy Equipment Operator Certification on a “Progressive Mower” (Level ‘A’)
  • Heavy Equipment Operator Certification on a “Loader” (Level ‘B’)
  • Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Air Endorsement and a clear driver’s abstract.
  • Current Pesticide Applicators Certificate.
  • Occupational First Aid Level 1


The hourly rate of pay for this CUPE bargaining unit position is $28.43 working eight (8) hours per day, Monday through Friday.
