Provide Operating, Maintenance and Capital Project Support for City Facilities
The Civic Facility Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all maintenance and operating processes and capital projects for The City of Prince George Civic Facilities. Responsibilities include coordinating the design, pre-construction, construction and commissioning of new and renovated facilities. The Maintenance Supervisor also provides leadership and daily supervision to maintenance employees along with providing direction on work-flow and priorities. The position requires the Supervisor to work “on call” outside of traditional office hours to support emergency call-outs and the diverse working schedule of staff.
The successful incumbent will have completed a post-secondary diploma in either Building or Engineering Technology with a minimum of five years’ related work experience in a facility maintenance / construction project management role. Three years of experience in a supervisory role within a unionized environment is also a requirement.
Computer proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems, Microsoft Project and other position related software is preferred. Strong negotiation and problem solving skills are essential as is the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders and the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
An RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status is required as well as a full privilege Class 5 Driver’s License (or out of province equivalent).
