 Youth Leader II - Supervisor (Summer)

Temporary Full Time position 
(May 22 to September 7, 2018)

 
Under the general direction of a Recreation Programmer, the Youth Leader II will provide leadership in planning, supervision and evaluation of summer programs within Community Services. Primary responsibility includes planning and supervision of up to 7 park sites as part of the Saanich Neighbourhood Playground Program (SNPP).  The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operation of programs including staff training and supervising, equipment and supplies, program planning, facility scheduling and logistics and other details as needed to ensure a high quality program. 
 
Requirements include completion of Grade 12; experience in administration of recreational programs; six months experience working in a recreation day-camp setting; demonstrated program planning experience; supervisory experience in related field; Emergency First-Aid and CPR-Level C; a satisfactory police information check and a valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License.  The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (hours/shifts are subject to change).
 
This a C.U.P.E.
