We are currently seeking an outstanding HR Assistant – Records to join our dynamic and fast paced HRIS team.  This position provides support services to the HRIS division; prepares and maintains human resources and payroll source documentation and records; update employee status changes, maintains an organized workflow of processing the full lifecycle of employees (new hire records, transfers, enroll in benefits, separating from the city etc.); provides information and assistance on benefit plans, Municipal Pension Plan, collective agreements, human resources policies, procedures and records; prepares, maintains and process a variety of confidential files and records.  Performs related work as required.

Qualifications include a Diploma in Human Resources and 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.  Knowledge of HR practices and principles applicable to processing and documentation of employee records. We’re looking for someone who is detailed oriented, able to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and written; and who has considerable knowledge of HRIS and business administration.  Experience working with pension and benefit providers are assets.
