Program Leader I - Teen Centre

 Up to 4 Auxiliary Positions: Drop In Program Leaders

Under the general direction of the Recreation Programmer at either the Upside Teen Centre at Saanich Commonwealth Place, the Flipside Teen Centre at G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre, or the Backdoor Teen Centre at the Gordon Head Recreation Centre, the Program Leader will provide direct supervision to their program (Drop In Program). Successful candidates will be responsible for planning and supervising relevant activities in a variety of programs for youth.  This also involves ensuring the safety and well-being of participants and communicating and working cooperatively with participants (youth), parents, coordinators and supervisors.

Requirements include completion of Grade 10, three months experience in working with youth in a recreational setting, Emergency First-Aid and CPR Level C, satisfactory police information check. Successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends and nights; 4-10 hours per week.

These are C.U.P.E. Local 2011 positions with a wage of $20.48 per hour plus 13% in lieu of benefits. Job description and competition information can be found at This is an open until filled posting.
