The City of Campbell River is seeking a part-time Court Liaison Officer.

The rate of pay for this permanent, part-time, CUPE bargaining unit position is $34.23 per hour working 37.5 hours on a bi-weekly basis and includes a comprehensive benefits package. What else? The Job!
As an integral part of the City’s Police Services team, and working out of the local RCMP detachment, you will be responsible for liaising with Crown Counsel and the Court Registry on behalf of the RCMP during the criminal case management process. The Court Liaison Officer will receive and submit all court documents as per Justice Information system (JUSTIN) and/or Crown Counsel requirements, and re-route those files that do not meet JUSTIN and/or Crown requirements for corrections or inclusion of additional information where necessary.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • An “Achievement of Certificate” or Diploma in Applied Police Sciences OR an assessable equivalent in education, training and police field operations experience.
  • Five years of operational experience in police field investigation work and in court procedures, within the last ten years.
  • One year working with PRIME workflow, or workflow with an equivalent police records information management environment (i.e. PROS).
  • Experience and training in JUSTIN.
  • Valid BC driver’s license (must provide and maintain a clear drivers abstract).
  • Ability to pass and maintain an RCMP Reliability Security screening.
