Preschool Assistant

Up to 2 Casual Positions

The District of Saanich is seeking energetic and enthusiastic Preschool Assistants who will be responsible for assisting the Preschool Instructor in managing and facilitating activities in the Nature Preschool Program at Gordon Head Recreation Centre.  The successful candidate(s) will assist in the planning and implementation of the full year outdoor early childhood program including setup and clean-up of the room and equipment, lead children in activities as directed by the Preschool Instructor and provide program activity feedback to the Preschool Instructor. 

Requirements include: completion of Grade 10; three months experience in related area of instruction; satisfactory Police Information Check; and current Emergency First-Aid and CPR Level C. Must be an outdoor enthusiast who can smile in the rain!  This is casual, on-call work to provide relief for sick leave and vacation coverage.  The successful candidate(s) will work varying hours Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (hours/shifts are subject to change). 

This is a C.U.P.E.
