Our Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department is looking for seasonal auxiliary/casual Cashier Attendants to work at our outdoor pools over the summer. Ideal candidates will possess the ability to provide information and assistance to patrons working alone and in a busy, fast-paced customer service environment. Along with processing admissions and high-volume cash handling and reconciling transactions, Cashier Attendants perform related duties as required.
Successful candidates will have up to completion of Grade 12 plus strong cashiering and point of sale (POS) experience. You must have experience balancing a high volume till/cash register at the end of your shift with electronic payments (e.g. Visa, MasterCard, Debit) and cash. Hours and shifts will be based on our operational requirements and may vary, as the operation of our outdoor pools depend on the weather.
The outdoor pool season is June, July, August and the beginning of September; successful applicants need to be available Monday through Sunday, between 11:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Availability for these shifts is important. Shifts vary between 4 – 7 hours.
