Operating out of a modern four-bay station, White Rock Fire Rescue is committed to serving the community through the delivery of professional, responsive and progressive fire and emergency services. The Department strives to attract and retain a diverse and talented team, through progressive training, partnerships and progressive collaboration. White Rock Fire Rescue is poised for long-term planning and the advancement of innovative and best practices.

for developing and leading the City’s Fire Department and Fire Rescue strategic vision and implementing its community-centered programs. Leading an engaged, empowered, learning-focused team, the Fire Chief is accountable for the delivery of fire suppression and protection, education and prevention, first response and safety services. The Fire Chief will align with the priorities and strategic vision of Council, advocate equity, diversity and inclusion, and proactively foster new and existing partnerships and opportunities.

As authentic, collegial and influential leader, this position requires advanced and progressive knowledge of fire, rescue, public safety and medical response. The next Fire Chief will be grounded in municipal experience with the ability to inspire the confidence, growth and development of others. The successful candidate will possess a degree in business administration and/or a program in local government administration or fire service management. In addition, required is a minimum of 5 years of related senior level related Fire Department experience.
