Under the general direction of the Manager, Instructional Technology & Client Support the Service Desk Analyst I will act as the primary contact for users with IT issues or enquiries, and will provide first level technical support.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Acts as the primary contact for users with IT issues or enquiries
  • Provides first level technical support and devoted to the operation of the Information Technology Services Help Desk
  • Provides analysis and remediation of basic hardware and software issues
  • Receives, records, assigns and reports on help desk service requests received by telephone, email, and other help desk communications

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary diploma in computer technology or a related field is required
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a Help Desk, Call Centre or equivalent in a technical environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in the use of microcomputer hardware and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience providing computer support in a networked environment desirable
