Our Recreation Department is currently seeking enthusiastic, energetic service-oriented individuals to work on a casual basis as a Weight Room Attendant with opportunities to work at Hyde Creek Recreation Centre and in the new Port Coquitlam Community Centre.
This is recreation work supervising the safety and control of patrons in the weight room. This position assists and guides patrons in the use and care of exercise equipment, the facility and includes some custodial and minor preventative maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements include completion of grade 12 or equivalent, six months full time equivalent previous experience in the area of physical fitness and completion of the following: BCRPA Fitness Theory Level One certificate and BCRPA Weight Training certificate.

The hours of work will vary and include evenings and weekends. The 2020 rate of pay for this casual position is $20.35 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits, vacation & statutory holidays. The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement.
