The City of Abbotsford has an exciting opportunity for a recruitment professional to join our Human Resources team. We are currently recruiting for a temporary full time Recruiter for approximately six (6) months. If you are a self-motivated, detailed oriented Human Resources professional who thrives in a fast paced environment and has a passion for recruitment this could be the role for you!
In this key role, you will partner with hiring Managers to oversee full-cycle recruitment for a wide variety of municipal recruitment competitions. Your service orientation and proven communication skills will assist with ensuring staffing needs are addressed in a timely manner. There is no typical day at the City however your main responsibilities will include initiating recruitment requisitions, developing selection criteria, conducting and coordinating interviews, and preparing employment letters. This position will provide backfill coverage for positions within the Human Resources department when required in addition to completing HR projects as assigned.
This role requires a highly efficient, with great attention to detail, self-starter who values a team environment and can manage a busy and interesting workload while providing excellent customer service. Our Human Resources team values teamwork, integrity, innovation and an energetic and positive work environment.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field plus relevant experience
- Minimum of two years of full cycle recruitment experience, experience with high volume recruitment is preferred
- Recruitment experience in a unionized environment is preferred
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills;
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills;
- CPHR or RPR designation or working towards is an asset
