Support AnalystFull-time Permanent Vacancy
The Support Analyst is responsible for providing IT related support on behalf of the organization. The Support Analyst provides one-on-one, telephone and email support to users; desktop hardware; software and related equipment installations, upgrades, moves, changes and troubleshooting. The Support Analyst acts as a point of reference to other staff by answering questions, demonstrating and documenting work methods and procedures. The position works in a fast-paced environment and requires a high degree of technical problem solving. The normal work week is 35 hours, with a variable schedule that could include evenings and weekends.
This position will work out of the Municipal Hall and at other municipal facilities. Operation on a motor vehicle will be required with a valid BC driver’s licence.
The candidate will have a completion of a two-year certificate program or greater in computer technology or related discipline at a technical institute or community college. The candidate will have a minimum of three years’ related experience in IT or related field with preference to municipal experience and considerable experience with ITSM based service desk solutions and end user support best practice. The hourly rate of pay for this unionized position is between $33.20 per hour (Step 1) to $39.52 per hour (Step 5) (2019 rates).
