The City of Coquitlam is currently seeking a self-motivated, well organized, and responsible individual who possesses excellent customer service, interpersonal and high accuracy skills. The Clerk Typist 2’s primary responsibilities include City Hall switchboard and reception services, data entry, basic accounting, typing and general office administration. The successful applicant will be able to work independently and easily switch between their customer service functions and the other clerical tasks assigned to the position.
Qualified candidates will have completed Grade 11, have knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, experience with operating office equipment including a computer, proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to make sound decisions.
Short-listed candidates will be tested on their computer skills (MS Word and Excel) and typing ability and will only progress upon meeting 65% for the computer skills and 45 net words per minute.
Hourly wage is $23.91 to $28.00 per hour plus a percentage in lieu of benefits.
