The City of Coquitlam is the sixth largest city in BC, home to more than 150,000 residents. Our municipality continues to grow through greenfield and infill development, innovative urban design, inspiring arts, culture and recreation programs, and state-of-the-art transportation systems. Our brand is built on managing our resources in a responsible and sustainable manner, while supporting a vibrant, growing regional urban centre.

We are currently looking for Recreation Instructors who are passionate about sharing their expertise in the following areas:

Adult Programs:
  • Dance (Bollywood or similar)
  • Tai Chi
  • Arts & Crafts (Variety)
  • Life-long Learning

Preschool and Children Programs:
  • Dance (must be available Saturday mornings OR Thursday afternoons)
  • Gymnastics (must be available Saturday mornings)

The successful candidates will be team players with excellent communication and people skills. Prior instructing and/or coaching experience is essential. Shifts are varied throughout the year and programs run out of different facilities in the City.

Applicants under consideration will be required to consent to a Police Information Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.
