The City of Kelowna boasts a stunning setting, year-round recreational pursuits, and over 200 mountains, beaches, and city parks. Consider joining our dynamic team and help make Kelowna the best mid-sized city in North America with a Summer Student Parks position!

Our Summer Students work in a variety of positions that support and maintain the City of Kelowna’s parks, beaches, sports fields and urban forests during the summer season. Types of duties include: shrub & lawn care maintenance, litter control, weeding and mowing, trail maintenance, line painting, and general public engagement just to name a few. If you enjoy being physically active and you’re interested in developing and supporting strong communities, we’ve got a role for you!

Summer Student positions run from late-April to September. Eligible candidates must be enrolled in and returning to school full-time in the subsequent academic year. We’re seeking candidates who have strong communication, teamwork, customer service, and problem-solving skills as well as having the ability to perform physical labour in all weather conditions. Please note, a criminal record check may be required.

Hourly rate: $17.42 per hour plus 14% in lieu of vacation, benefits and statutory holidays.
