The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for a regular part-time Support Clerk to join our team of professionals in the Corporate Administration Division.

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Administration Business Support, in this unionized position you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts, and providing support, information, and assistance as required. This position will maintain records, retrieve information from files as required, as well as compile, condense and tabulate non-technical financial and statistical data. If you are detail-oriented, analytical, committed to excellence in customer service, and have the ability to multi-task, we would like to hear from you.

Your education includes completion of grade 12, preferably including or supplemented by commercial and accounting courses and related experience in a municipal setting or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You have considerable knowledge of the applicable departmental rules, regulations and procedures and sound knowledge of modern business practices, records management, billing, indexing, and related clerical functions. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate tactfully with the public and other employees.

The CUPE rate of pay for this position is $25.31 - $29.74 per hour (5 steps, 2019 rates); $25.82 - $30.33 per hour (5 steps, 2020 rates), plus benefits.  The hours of work are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm.
