The West Vancouver Community Services Department is currently seeking casual Lifeguard/Instructor I’s to join our highly qualified team. Tasks include lifesaving functions and lesson instruction, including specialized areas. Added responsibilities involve performing basic maintenance functions and customer service.
The successful candidate must be 17 years or older and have successfully completed courses in lifesaving, swimming instruction and first aid. Previous experience as a Lifeguard and Instructor is preferred. Required Certifications include:
- Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
- National Lifeguard - Pool Option AND Water Park Option
- CPR Level C
- Automated External Defibrillation
- Standard First Aid (or equivalent)
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted and must be available to attend the following:
- Mandatory Wet Screening on Wednesday, November 20 from 5:00-8:00pm
- Mandatory Orientation on Tuesday, November 26 from 5:00-8:00pm
Successful candidates are required to supply a police information check and a copy of their credentials.
