As the Deputy City Clerk, you will be responsible for the direction, organization and administration of the City’s legislative functions including supervision and direction of administrative support required by Council, as well as strategic development and direction for the management of corporate records and information. You will assume full statutory authority of the Officer responsible for Corporate Administration in the absence of the City Clerk and will be the designated FOI “Head” (along with City Clerk).

Qualifications include a University degree in public administration or related discipline with 5 years’ experience in an administrative and regulatory environment.  You have experience working with government processes and procedures, preferably at the municipal level. You are eligible for completion of the Board of Examiners Certificate in Local Government Statutory Administration and you have extensive knowledge of and the ability to interpret senior government legislation, by-laws and policies.
