Saanich Parks is seeking an experienced professional to enhance partnerships with a variety of community athletic groups including sports field users. The successful candidate will negotiate and implement agreements for park and facility uses including working with groups on partnership projects in a multifaceted environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in building partnerships and developing public policy. This position demands attention to detail and a strong ability to multi-task.
Saanich, the largest municipality on southern Vancouver Island, has a diverse parks system with over 75 outdoor sports facilities. Join our team to help enhance the many benefits of our parks.
Requirements include: University degree in community development, recreation, public administration or other related field; three years experience in public administration, policy and procedures development, leading people, including volunteers, preferably in a government setting; experience with Microsoft Office, social media platforms; excellent written and oral communication skills; and possession of a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $36.61 per hour and an excellent benefits package. Job description and competition information can be found at www.saanich.ca.
