Afternoon Shift – 3:15 pm – 11:45 pm
Until December 31, 2019 with the possibility of an extension


Coquitlam School District invites applications from individuals for the position of temporary carpenter. As the third largest school district in the province we are located within a 40-minute drive from downtown Vancouver.  The school district has a population of 32,000 students with approximately 4,300 teaching, administrative, managerial and support staff. 

This position reports to the Manager of Maintenance and the Trades Supervisor and is responsible for completing carpentry tasks with minimum supervision.    

Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Red Seal Ticket as a carpenter or cabinet maker (Joiner) including a certificate of apprenticeship
  • A valid B.C. class 5 driver’s license.

This is a unionized position which offers $34.06/hour (40 hours/week), plus 16% in lieu of benefits.
