Our Planning and Development Department is currently seeking a:
Bylaw Enforcement Officer(Full Time - Two Year Term)
The Bylaw Enforcement Officer, which is a new position, will be responsible for investigating bylaw offences and attempting to reach voluntary compliance; conducting site visits and attending meetings as required; and keeping detailed records.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bylaw Compliance and Enforcement and Investigative Skills Level 1 Certificate (Justice Institute of British Columbia), or equivalent; three or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and experience working with the Local Government Act, the Local Government Bylaw Notice Enforcement Act, and the Bylaw Dispute Adjudication System.

The successful candidate will be subject to the CUPE Local 2254 Collective Agreement and will work out of the RDKB’s Trail Administration office.
