We are seeking the expertise of a highly motivated and committed administrative professional to join the City’s Planning and Development team as a Clerk 3.  The Clerk 3 will apply their knowledge of Planning and Development regulations, functions, procedures and policies.  Our Clerk 3 performs diversified clerical duties entailing the exercise of considerable independent judgement and action. 

Working with the Planning and Development team, our Clerk 3 will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and processing various documentation, tracking documents, graphics, project management information, spreadsheets, charts and related work.  Additionally, the Clerk 3 will be involved in a variety of duties that surround rules, regulations, policy and bylaws of a diverse nature as well as tracking and monitoring departmental activity reports.  Financial-related aspects of the role will be reflected in duties surrounding budgets, estimates, business plans, strategic goals and objectives. Our ideal candidate will also coordinate the division’s communications with stakeholders, City staff, and will have the opportunity to manage and maintain internal and external websites.  The ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees, consultants and the public will be a key to the success of this position. 

The Clerk 3 will have completed grade 12 or have completed commercial-business courses related to the work.  Training in the use of all Microsoft office products is required, as well as some experience with presentation, graphic and spreadsheet tools and scheduling software.  The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the Planning and Development field.  A valid British Columbia Driver's License is required.

A CUPE hourly rate of $27.45 - $32.25 (2019 rates), a comprehensive benefits package, and an earned day off program is being offered.
