The Saint John Board of Police Commissioners is seeking a collaborative and visionary policing professional to guide the Force through a period of transformation. You will drive continuous improvement to optimize police services to meet the changing needs of the community. You will work closely with the Board and the senior management team to lead the organization to be innovative; develop the relationship between Board and staff; and enhance collaboration to build a climate of transformation. The Board is seeking a change agent and leader who will develop a compelling vision and strategy to engage the members, establish the targets and standards of performance and lead the SJPF to build on past success and realize its full potential.
A track record of effectively leading change, solving problems creatively and mentoring future leaders will be expected. You have a history of championing high levels of member and community engagement and being responsive to community needs and concerns. As a strategic communicator and politically astute and exceptional leader, you have a proven record of achieving organizational, public service and change management excellence. You are highly regarded as an inclusive relationship builder that places great value on earning the confidence of others through leveraging team building, community engagement and nurturing strong external partnerships with stakeholders.
You have an established track record as a contemporary, creative and innovative leader who inspires a shared vision, encourages creativity and fosters a high performing, accountable and service-oriented organization. You have a history of inspiring others with a shared enthusiasm for results and accountability. You possess a highly developed level of ethics, values and integrity. You possess a strong commitment to employee engagement and development as well as customer service as core principles to culture.
