Come join our H.R. team in this exciting role of Human Resources Advisor – Recruitment. In this role you will be responsible for working with a variety of departments throughout the City to fill entry to senior level positions.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of full spectrum recruiting in a fast paced, high volume environment ideally, in a unionized environment. Have proven experience in strategic recruitment, knowledge of the labour market, with expertise in attracting and sourcing top talent in a variety of disciplines. The Recruitment Advisor is responsible to support hiring practices that are fair, equitable and welcoming of all applicants, and that provide equal employment opportunity to all qualified employees and applicants. This role may also support in a variety of HR functions including recruitment, labour relations, and employee relations in a unionized environment.
You will bring a sense of humor, positive approach, having amazing interpersonal skills and be a team player. Superior internal and external customer service skills along with organizational, time management and multitasking sills are vital for this role. The role requires someone that can take initiative and handle stress. Demonstrate strong decision making skills while managing a workload with competing priorities.
The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Human Resources or a related discipline. A CPHR designation or working towards the designation will be considered an asset. Have experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS) and intermediate MS Office skills. Negotiation skills, the ability to think on your feet, problem solving and be solution based are vital to the success in this position.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Police Information Check as a condition of employment. (Note – not required a part of the application process; however, will be required upon consideration for employment)
