Capital Asset Analyst

Casual (0 - 40 hours per week)

The Financial Services Department has the immediate need for an individual to assist in review and analysis of tangible capital asset accounting and related amortization activities, identifying transactions that impact capital asset valuation, and ensuring compliance with related regulations.  

The preferred candidate will possess extensive experience in financial analysis and a thorough understanding of capital asset management in a municipal setting, as well as the technical knowledge of municipal infrastructure and construction terminology. Completion of a third-year recognized accounting course (C.A., C.G.A.) and advance Excel skills are also required.  The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to compile and analyze data from multiple sources to determine the impact on tangible capital asset valuation and maintenance.  As well, you will have the ability to work collaboratively with others and to make a positive contribution to a team environment.

The hourly wage range of this casual position starts at $36.45 (2019 rates).
