Customer Service Representative

Regular Part Time Position
with the possibility of an additional
Temporary Part Time Position
for up to 16 months

The District of Saanich is seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional customer service through answering the switchboard, being the Municipal Hall receptionist and providing information services to the general public and staff.  The successful candidate will perform a variety of clerical tasks, including cell phone contract management, assisting in the maintenance of web content and responding to public emails.

This is a regular part time position with the possibility of an additional temporary part time position for up to 16 months.  The hours of work are either Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.  Requirements include: Grade 12 or equivalent plus courses in office administration; six months experience operating a multi-line telephone system and providing customer reception services; experience managing a variety of corporate social media accounts and keyboarding  speed of 45 wpm. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

This is a C.U.P.E.
