The District of West Vancouver Community Services Department is accepting applications for Music Instructors to teach our group music lessons and private music lessons. These include: piano, violin, drums, flute, cello, vocal and guitar instructors. The lessons will be based out of the West Vancouver Community Centre and the Gleneagles Community Centre.
The successful candidates will have professional training in music, substantial experience as instructors with their respective instruments, knowledge of community recreation philosophies and instruction techniques, and experience working with children and adults. Desirable qualifications include a university degree in music or an equivalent combination of education and experience. All applicants must provide a cover letter, resume, and a sample lesson plan for each class or program to be taught.
The closing date is August 18, 2019, but the review, processing of applications, and hiring will begin immediately until the positions have been filled.
The successful candidate is required to supply a criminal record check and a copy of their credentials.
