Youth Leader II - Supervisor

Cedar Hill Recreation Centre
Auxiliary position

Under the general direction of a Recreation Programmer, the Youth Leader II will provide leadership in planning, supervision and evaluation of youth programs, services and events at the Cedar Hill Recreation Centre and surrounding community. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operation of programs including staff training and supervising, equipment and supplies, program planning, facility scheduling and logistics and other details as needed to ensure high quality programs, services and events. 

Requirements include completion of Grade 12; experience in administration of recreational programs; six months experience working with youth; demonstrated program planning experience; supervisory experience in related field (experience in youth art programming an asset); Emergency First-Aid and CPR-Level C; a satisfactory police information check and a valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License.  The successful candidate will be required to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends, up to 5 hours per week (hours/shifts are subject to change).

This a C.U.P.E.
