Starting rate is $23.44 per hour + 12% in lieu of all benefits

The City of New Westminster is looking for an energetic, self-directed, reliable individual to look after janitorial duties at one of the cities outdoor pools. Duties will include vacuuming, hosing and scrubbing floors using a floor machine, emptying garbage, cleaning washrooms, sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, cubicles, windows and staff areas, re-stocking supplies, pool vacuuming, power washing and other job related duties as assigned.  

Preference will be given to those applicants who have previous cleaning experience and who have completed a BSW course. This position requires the successful applicant to successfully pass and maintain a clear Police Information Check.

*The hours of work include 3-4 morning shifts 12-20 hours per week including weekdays, weekends and statutory holidays. The successful candidate must be flexible as days may vary from week to week and must be available for the entire term June 13 – September 2, 2019. There will be training and set-up shifts starting in May.
