We are seeking a Supervisor 3 who will provide leadership to their team.   The ideal candidate will be highly organized, a team player and has the ability to develop productive teams.   

Your key responsibilities are:  
You will be supervising work related to the maintenance and construction of sanitary and storm sewer systems, and/or other municipal systems performed in accordance with municipal standards. You will coordinate the work of subordinate units and have full accountability for the general effectiveness of all operations.  The work is performed under the supervision of a Superintendent who provides policy guidance, and periodically reviews completed work as required.

A little bit about you:

You will have knowledge of the applicable methods, practices, tools and equipment used in the work supervised. Considerable knowledge of the applicable occupational hazards and proper safety practices related to the work.

The ability to plan, assign, supervise and check the work of subordinates engaged in public works construction, repair and maintenance operations. The ability to work from engineering drawings, sketches, grade sheets and specifications. 

The ability to inspect work and direct equipment operations and the ability prepare and maintain reports and records related to the work.

You will have Completed Grade 12 supplemented by training and courses related to the work, including completion of a supervisory training course, plus considerable related experience, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Preferably have certification in EOCP Wastewater Collection Level 3.  Valid B.C. Class 5 Drivers License.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to supervise, coach, and guide others while enhancing individual and team effectives. Have the ability to mentor and foster the development of direct and responds to changing priorities.  You will have excellent communication skills, demonstrated leadership skills with problem solving capabilities.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Police Information Check as a condition of employment. (Note – not required a part of the application process; however, will be required upon consideration for employment)
