Project Manager


Position Objective:
  • The Te’mexw Treaty Association (TTA) Project Manager (PM) would be a flexible part-time position (approximately 20 to 25 hours per month) that would be responsible for providing over-sight and project management services to the TTA regarding multiple treaty focused projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will
  • Provide project oversight, project management support and report regularly on TTA project(s) progress and status.
  • Pro-actively build and sustain relationships with team members, consultants, general/sub-contractors, and stakeholders both while on the job and through networking outside of work.
  • Write and submit project proposals and complete funding applications
  • Build trusting, long lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that project policies and procedures are followed and that projects are executed in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Manage a number of projects and ensure their timely execution, operations, exceeding budget and quality expectations.
  • Be responsible for project management: from initial conversations through to final project closeout.
  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
  • Complete all project reporting in an efficient and sound manner with minimal assistance and input from other team members.

Required Qualifications: 
  • Degree in related field or relevant diploma/ certificate,
  • 5 years of Project Management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Experience in working in an industry, government, not for profit or First Nations setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clear drivers abstract

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in working with First Nations communities on treaty aligned projects
