You’ll lead a Division that is tasked with attracting, selecting and retaining quality people, promoting effective people management, fostering a safe working environment, emphasizing customer service and continuous learning.

Reporting to the City Manager, you will become a trusted advisor to Council and the Senior Management Team. Act as a key strategic business partner across the organization by aligning your HR practices with business initiatives and the vision of the City of Brampton. As Executive Director, you will lead a team of 52 people and oversee a 2010 budget of $5.9 million. Provide direction on all issues related to labour relations, health, safety and wellness, compensation and benefits, staffing, organizational development and change management. Develop short and long term corporate strategy, goals and objectives for the Division. Be a leader by example in setting the highest standards of professionalism.

In addition to your degree and professional HR designation, you have at least eight years of experience in a large, diverse, unionized organization. An exceptional communicator, negotiator and mentor, you have the requisite energy and expertise to raise the engagement and performance levels of everyone who works for the City of Brampton.
